Lifted Hands Initiative, Inc. brings that vision to life through practical service, meaningful relationships, and a deep commitment to love, education, and purpose.
Vision Statement
To cultivate communities where every person—regardless of age or background—has the support, skills, and opportunity to grow, give, and thrive.
About Us
Lifted Hands Initiative, Inc. is a community-rooted nonprofit committed to building stronger people and stronger neighborhoods—one act of love, integrity, and purpose at a time.
We serve across generations and backgrounds, bridging gaps through practical programs like clothing drives, life skills workshops, career development, and compassionate outreach. Our work is grounded in real values: love with action, grit with grace, and a belief that better is always possible.
We don’t just show up—we build up. Whether we’re mentoring youth, supporting seniors, or helping a neighbor in need, everything we do is about helping people become their best selves—and their best neighbors.
This is more than service. It’s community, connection, and long-term change—powered by faith, fueled by purpose, and led by heart.
Why We Began
Lifted Hands Initiative was founded on the simple belief that when we extend a hand, we lift up a life. Our story began with a passion for faith-driven service, multigenerational connection, and creating spaces where neighbors don’t just live side by side — they thrive together.
We have seen firsthand the gaps in community support: families facing food insecurity, youth without mentorship, and neighborhoods longing for connection. Inspired by a vision of service rooted in love, dignity, and purpose, we are committed to meeting people where they are and walking with them toward where they can go.
This vision is deeply personal. The Founder’s grandmother, Peggy Ann, reminded us that life is not about accolades, but about the service you give and the love you leave behind. She lived her life striving to create a legacy of compassion, faith, and community — and it is her example that continues to guide us today.
Lifted Hands Initiative exists to carry this legacy forward — to remind every person that they are seen, valued, and capable of creating a legacy of inspiration and impact.
We believe that a single hand lifted in service can echo through lives and generations. When we extend a hand, we don’t just meet today’s needs — we build legacies of love, hope, and service that will outlast us all.
